This covers creation of new street names, registering and amending postal address details of properties with Royal Mail, other Council Services (Education, Finance - Council Tax), Emergency Services, Electoral Registrars, GROS, Public Utilities (gas, electric, water, phone), Ordnance Survey, satellite navigation companies and cartographers.

In terms of the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 Dundee City Council is responsible for allocating new street names and addresses to all new properties and for making alterations to existing addresses where anomalies occur.

Dundee City Council do not allocate postcodes to addresses. Any queries regarding incorrect postcodes should firstly be to Royal Mail by email at www.royalmail.com or by phone at 08456 045060.
