Smarter Choices Smarter Places

Smarter Choices Smarter Places is a Scottish Government initiative to encourage and develop sustainable and active travel throughout defined communities. Previous interventions in England have seen reductions in car use of in excess of 10% with the obvious environmental and health benefits this brings for all.
Dundee City Council has submitted a bid to become a Smarter Choices Smarter Places City. This will be delivered through a project called Dundee Health Central and the Scottish Government will announce demonstration projects and funding in late July / early August 2008.
