Trading Standard Officers carry out a wide range of inspections of trade premises, where they inspect equipment, make test purchases and examine goods. Dundee City Council has facilities for the testing of bulk metering systems and calibration of trade weights and measures. The Trading Standards Section of the Environment Department can verify weighing equipment, both within and outside the Dundee City area.
Calibrated metric and imperial weights are also available for hire.
