  • From Stone Age to Skarne Age - The Story of Whitfield (Runs: 29/11/07 to 19/06/08, Weekly)
    Thursday: 9.30am to 12 noon
    Details: The Whitfield History Group is about to start a new project aimed at finding out as much as possible about the story of the Whitfield area, in particular during the last forty years. We are looking for new members who wish to become actively involved in researching information or contributing reminiscences and photographs. The group will meet every Thursday during term-time.   • Whitfield History Group (Runs: During term time, Weekly)
    Thursday: 9.30 to 11.30am
    Details: We are looking for members wishing to become actively involved in a 'hands on' approach to researching and recording aspects of Dundee's fascinating past. The group will take an informal and unacademic approach to the subject, using a variety of IT and paper-based source material. No qualifications are required - only an interest in finding out new things and learning new skills. If you have any memories of Whitfield, were born or worked here, if you were one of the first tenants or lived in the Skarne development contact Alistair Cameron, telephone 01382 436942 or come along to our meetings.

    Monday: 12 noon to 1.00pm
    Details: Why not share your interest in books and enhance the pleasure of reading by attending our informal monthly reading group.
