The Local History Centre of Dundee Central Library has an extensive collection of newspapers, directories, photographs and maps. The Family History Collection includes the International Genealogical Index for Scotland, as well as old parish registers and census returns for the Dundee area. These and other treasures, such as the Wighton Collection of Scottish national music, are all housed in a magnificent, elevated setting, overlooking Dundee and the silvery Tay.
