Welcome to the Dundee Integated Children's Services homepage
This website is the window to Integrated Children's Services in Dundee - the main purpose of the site is to promote joint working across professional boundaries and between partner agencies.
Our aims can be found within the Children's Services Plan, "A Plan for Dundee's Children" 2005/2008 which expresses a shared commitment "that every child and young person in Dundee is Safe, Nurtured, Healthy, Achieving, Active, Respected and Responsible and Included."
Dundee's 'integrated approach' is based on improving and delivering services and outcomes for children and young people. This is being achieved through better co-ordination of existing and new resources, whilst keeping focus on the delivery of effective child-centred activities.
There are a number of successful 'local partnerships' across City Council Departments, NHS Tayside, Tayside Police, Voluntary Organisations and the private sector.
These partnerships are financed in a number of different ways including the Community Regeneration Fund and the Changing Children's Services Fund.
The partnerships and funding help tackle many of the priority issues in Dundee today, such as, improving the health of children, delivering youth justice and tackling anti-social behaviour, protecting children and enhancing education opportunities for children and young people.
The pages within this site will give the viewer a clear picture of what's happening across children's services in Dundee today. |
