City Centre Businesses Collect Retail Accolades
City Centre businesses celebrated success at the Dundee City Centre Retail Awards 2008 as winners were crowned with the city's highest accolade in retailing. The event, hosted by well known Scottish TV presenter - currently presenting Postcode Lottery with Carol Smillie, and well known for fronting the BBC's Cash In The Attic, Angus Purden, was the climax to months of nominations by city centre businesses, shortlisting by a panel of impartial judges and 11 days of public voting by City of Discovery Shoppers and the Evening Telegraph readership - truly making them the people's awards. The awards event was held in the Apex City Quay Hotel & Spa, who also sponsored the event along with The Tasting Rooms, Radio Tay and the Evening Telegraph. ....................................................................................................................
