Andy Kennedy
Past Chair of Association of Town Centre Management Scotland and Stirling City Centre Initiative Manager

Andy Kennedy has been City Centre Initiative Manager in Stirling since 1998 and was involved in Stirling’s successful application for City status, awarded in 2002.  The main focus of Andy’s current work is to co-ordinate and deliver projects focused on city centre safety, business support/development and city centre strategy development. Prior to his current role, he had gained sixteen years retail store management experience throughout Scotland working for major national retail names. Prior to retail, he also managed a night club, was involved in direct sales to the agricultural industry, and initially trained to be an accountant.  Andy is immediate past Chair of The Association of Town Centre Management (Scotland) and currently sits on the ATCM (UK) advisory council, vice-convener of the Cross Party Group at Holyrood focused on Town Centre Development since 2008 to present, and has also been a local advisor within the Young Enterprise Scotland network. He was a member of Scottish Centre for Regeneration high streets learning network external advisory group 2009-11. He is a past President of Carse of Stirling Rotary club and has a BA (Hons) Degree in Business and Finance. He is no stranger to Dundee having been involved in the judging of the Dundee Retail awards since their inception.

Jason Turner is a Lecturer and Programme Tutor of Marketing & Business at the University of Abertay, Dundee, specialising in marketing research, consumer buying behaviour and customer loyalty in the retail sector. He has worked in the area of loyalty programmes and the customer/client interface for over 11 years and has published, reviewed and presented across a wide range of journals and conferences. He has been a judge for the Retailer of the Year Awards since 2006 and provides consultancy to SME’s specifically in the areas of relationship marketing, product assortment, branding and marketing research.

Until her recent retirement, Senior Lecturer in Food Studies and Division Leader in Food and Health Sciences at the University of Abertay, Dundee

Anne Colquhoun was, until her recent retirement, Senior Lecturer in Food Studies and Division Leader in Food and Health Sciences at the University of Abertay, Dundee.  Previously she worked at Duncan of Jordanstone and then the University of Dundee in the School of Food and Consumer Management. She has been involved in the area of food and nutrition for over 30 years and has worked closely in that time with the food industry through both consultancy work, work with national food groups/forums and student work placement. She has published, reviewed and presented in national journals and also to a range of food related conferences.

  Catherine Ward
Development Manager for North East Scotland region, Federation of Small Businesses

Catherine is passionate about supporting small businesses; she started her career with Glasgow Opportunities enterprise agency and has working across the enterprise development sector in Scotland.

Prior to joining FSB in early 2012, she was Regional Manager for the Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust (PSYBT) in Tayside, helping and supporting young businesses and working closely with the SME sector and enterprise agencies across the region.  She has also run her own project management and marketing consultancy in Glasgow and now also volunteers as a mentor with PSYBT in Tayside.
