Retail Information

The Research and Information Team undertakes a survey of retail units in the Dundee City Council area. This survey is completed in full every 2 years and a subset of key units surveyed again every 6 months. The latest full survey was completed in May 2007 and the information within the 'Retail Booklet - May 2007' refers to this survey. The next full survey is due to be completed in May 2009.

The 'Retail Booklet - May 2007' summaries the information collated during the survey and provides summaries of gross floor space and retail categories by key retailing areas in the city.

The 'Retail Audit Database 2007' holds detailed information on retail units recording their use, gross floor space the unit occupies and if the unit is vacant. This allows current retailing to be monitored and assists in planning the future retailing requirements of Dundee.
