Douglas Community & Library Centre
We are a large integrated Community Centre and Library
Complex operating in the heart of Douglas estate. Our main purpose is
to serve as a social, information and resource centre which meets the needs
of all age-groups.
Improvements to our entrance and reception area have resulted in first
class access for disabled users. We hope this underlines our commitment
to offer a service to the wider population.
The Centre also has a local Management Group who are very much involved
in producing programme ideas. Any local person interested in the work
of the Centre will be made welcome.
Our facilities include
- a gymnasium
- computer facilities
- a snooker table
- a breakfast / snack lunch facility
- a Youth Enquiry Service Point
|
- a lift to all floors
- a large function lounge
- well equipped play facilities
- a youth lounge
- a cookery room.
|
|
The Centre is served by its own car park with security cameras.
We also programme Craigie High School Sports Complex five evenings per
week, offering a variety of sports including a comprehensive swimming
programme for children, adults and families.
Our Aim...
...is to do whatever we can to make you feel welcome and valued.
