The Learning Centre
Working independently and collectively with other local professional agencies, we are able to provide a unique service, which takes individual circumstances into account. Things like shift-work, low income and unemployment are very often barriers for people thinking about their future. We can work with individuals to break down these and other barriers.
Our services include English, brushing up on study skills, creative writing, and helping carers who are helping children with school homework.
Information technology through computer use is an ever-growing aspect of modern day living. To help adults gain experience, we offer flexible courses that are negotiated with individual learners.
The above courses are free and are open to all adults, irrespective of age and agility.
The Centre workers offer a confidential guidance service to adults who may be wondering what to do with their time and their future, including going to College seeking work, or wishing to get involved in the community.
