Rooms to Let
We have an assortment of small and large rooms which can meet a variety of uses. A number of our rooms also have induction loop facilities. Although our building has more than one floor, we are confident that our facilities are reasonably accessible for disabled users through ramps, automatic doors and a lift.
So whether it is a meeting, training course, party, or some kind of celebration, why don't you come along and see what we have available. The following is just a selection of areas available for let:
Douglas Lounge
A large function suite with a good dance floor and its own toilet facilities. A feature of the lounge is a large mosaic of the Dundee Coat of Arms. The area, which has recently been upgraded, is extremely popular with parents who are looking for a party venue for younger children. In addition, the Douglas Lounge provides the ideal venue for a public meeting.
Gymnasium
A good-sized gym with its own facilities. This area can be used for most sports, or parties with a sporting theme.
Meeting Room
Ideal for meetings or training sessions. The room can comfortably seat 12 people. Flip chart, television, VCR/DVD player or refreshments can be provided if required.
If you wish to receive one of our letting packs, call in to the Centre, or if it is more convenient, telephone 01382 436944 and we will post one out to you.

There is a wide variety of learning opportunities available for adults within the Centre.
There are a number of established learning groups in the Centre, and you can find out more about these on the Centre programme page. The groups are informal, the staff are friendly and the learning is fun!

The Centre staff also offer:
- Help with Reading, Writing and Spelling

Staff negotiate with adult learners to develop new activities and groups, and are always interested in finding out what adults in the community would like to become involved with.
The staff at the centre are happy to discuss learning with local adults and to try out new ideas in the centre.
The groups run throughout the year.
Why not contact Jane Clark, Community Worker, or Alistair Cameron, Community Information Worker on tel 436942.
Local Management Group
There is an opportunity for local people to become involved in Centre decision-making.
Leisure programme ideas, social gatherings and fundraising are just some of the areas which our current Management Group are involved in. As the Management Group is a Registered Charity it has also attracted funds for the purpose of improving the building. If you attend the Centre and have benefited from its many opportunities, you may feel you want to offer something back, or you may simply live locally and want to help your Centre further develop. Whatever your interest we would be pleased to meet you and explain in greater detail how you can become involved in your Centre Management Group.
Volunteering
The Centre offers a number of opportunities for volunteering. While most of the opportunities tend to be within the Children and Youth Work areas of the programme, sometimes possibilities also present themselves within the adult programme.
The Centre Management Group also offers the opportunity for voluntary work within a very supportive environment.
As you would expect, our volunteers are treated similarly to paid staff in that they are interviewed with a view to determining whether they are suited to working in a community centre.
If you feel you could make a positive difference, why not contact Eddie Martin, telephone 01382 436944.
