From 1 April Council Tax in Dundee is changing.
The council has agreed a 2.5% increase across all Council Tax bands for 2017-18
In addition from the 1 April 2017 the Scottish Government has changed how Council Tax is calculated for properties in Bands E – H this will increase the charge for these properties. Households living in properties in Bands A – D are not affected by these increases.
Scottish Water have also increased the water and waste water charges by 1.6%.
The breakdown of Council Tax charges is shown below.

Help to Pay
Households with income of up to £321 per week for single households, or £479 per week for couples, lone parents and families may not have to pay the increased charge, you can apply for help through the revised Council Tax Reduction scheme.
If you are a low income household and already receive a Council Tax Reduction you do not need to reapply, your 2017/18 Council Tax notice will include any reduction you are entitled to.
How to pay
The easiest way to pay your council tax is in regular instalments by direct Debit – you can pay over 10 months or 12 months.
