City Centre Management
Part-funded by the private sector. The City Centre Manager co-operates closely with local traders and other organisations to improve shopping facilities, attract business and visitors, and make sure everyone using Dundee’s city centre enjoys the best possible environment.

Based in Dundee City Council’s Economic Development Department, the City Centre Manager, Mrs Lorna McKenzie, is the executive member of the City Centre Action Group and an employee of Dundee City Council.
The City Centre Manager’s role encompasses the following key elements:
- Secretary and Treasurer for the City Centre Action Group
- Support, guidance and leadership for the Action group to facilitate the delivery of its aims and objectives as stated in its Business Plan
- The principal focus for the interface between the public and private sectors in the City Centre and to co-ordinate joint programmes
- Co-ordinating the activities of the public sector within the City Centre to ensure their effective delivery and to maximise conditions for business growth
