Property Management and Valuation
Management
The Property Management team has the responsibility of maximising use of all property and ensuring that good management techniques lead to the most efficient return on assets. The Property Management team is involved in the following activities:
- Acquisitions – purchasing, with the resultant compensation negotiations, or leasing in the right amount on the most advantageous terms.
- Disposals – sale or lease of property surplus to the Council’s requirements. This area covers marketing and lease negotiation.
- Lease Management:
- Negotiation of new lettings
- Rent Reviews
- Use clause negotiation
- Dilapidations
- Wayleaves
Valuation
The Property Valuation team are involved in the following activities:
- Asset Register
- Valuation for Council House Sales
- Rating Appeals
- Compulsory Purchase
