Port Health
Dundee City Council is the designated Port Health Authority for the Dundee Port and Dundee Airport. Through the Environment Department the Council exercises its powers in relation to Public Health Protection. The work of Port Health relates mainly to the prevention and control of infectious disease, food safety, including water quality, waste disposal and control of pollution in relation to the ships and aircraft that visit Dundee.
