Equality and Diversity: Gender Equality and Diversity Scheme
Information/Service?
Our Gender Equality and Diversity Scheme was approved at the Policy and Resources Committee of 11th June 2007.
The scheme outlines the Council’s vision for:
- preventing discrimination on the ground of gender or transgender
- promoting equality of opportunity for women, men and transgender people
- involving and consulting disabled people
A part of our scheme involved assessing our functions and policies for adverse impact on grounds of gender. The scheme includes an action plan for equality impact assessments.
