Equus @ Dundee Repertory Theatre
Psychiatrist Martin Dysart is brought the most challenging case of his career to date; to investigate the blinding of six horses by the unassuming stable boy Alan Strang.
The only son of an opinionated father and a devoutly religious mother Alan seems like any normal seventeen year old; his life appears routine, his passion for horses quite healthy, and his family loving. However, on Alan's first journey of sexual discovery what is revealed is a far more complex series of circumstances, which lead him to behave in a most devastating way.
As Dysart exposes the truths behind the boy's demons, he finds himself face-to-face with his own.
Equus is an intimate drama of epic proportions uncovering dark secrets and deep desires. Physical and exciting, this production should not be missed.
