The Local Authority Accounts (Scotland) Regulations, 1985
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, in terms of the above regulations that copies of the Abstract of the Accounts of the City Council for the year to 31 MARCH 2009, duly balanced and signed will be deposited in the office of the Head of Finance, Dundee City Council, Floor 4, 28 Crichton Street, Dundee between the hours of 9am and 5pm on any weekday during the period from 3 August 2009 to 21 August 2009 and that any persons interested may inspect and take copies of the accounts to be audited and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating thereto other than those claimed to be of a confidential nature. Inquiries relating to access to these documents may be made to the Head of Finance in writing or by telephoning Dundee 433555.
NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN, that any person may object to the accounts, or any part thereof or any of the documents relating thereto, by sending his or her objections in writing, together with a statement of the grounds thereof, to the Auditor not later than 24 August 2009 and by sending copies of the objection and statement to the undersigned, any other officer of the Council who may be concerned and the Controller of Audit, Accounts Commission for Scotland, 110 George Street, Edinburgh, EH2 4LH. The Auditor shall, if so requested by any person making objection as aforesaid, afford to that person an opportunity of appearing before and being heard by the Auditor with respect to that objection, either personally or by a representative. The Auditor appointed to audit the accounts is Mr Mark Taylor CPFA, Assistant Director, Audit Scotland, 1/5 Osborne Terrace, Edinburgh, EH12 5HG.
