- Finance-related central support to other departments and elected members of the Council
- Preparation and monitoring of the Council’s Revenue and Capital budgets
- Preparation and publication of the Council’s Annual Report and Accounts
- Co-ordination and publication of the Dundee City Council Performance Report
- Preparation and co-ordination of grant claims and financial and statistical returns
- Ensuring the security and integrity of the Council’s core financial systems
- Payment of invoices for goods and services received by the Council
- Collection of miscellaneous charges for services provided by the Council
