Non Domestic Rates
Information/Service?
Non Domestic Rates are a national property tax on all commercial properties administered by Dundee City Council.
The amount of rates that you will pay is dependent on the rateable value given to that property, multiplied by the uniform business poundage set by the Scottish Government. The rateable value is set by The Assessor for Tayside Valuation Joint Board.
A revaluation of the Rateable values for all Non Domestic and Business property is undertaken every 5 years. Some frequently asked questions are detailed in the Institute of Revenues, Rating and Valuation (IRRV) Getting Professional Advice leaflet (72KB PDF).
We accept payments of Non Domestic Rates by a number of methods.
If you are having difficulty in paying your Non Domestic Rates please visit our Recovery of Debts Section.
Our Online forms section allows you to register for Non Domestic Rates, notify us of changes in circumstances and also apply for relief, reductions, exemptions and bonus schemes.
