Tayside Procurement Consortium

Dundee City Council in association with Angus, Perth & Kinross Councils and Tayside Contracts have created a central procurement team - Tayside Procurement Consortium - with the aim of developing joint procurement across the Tayside authorities.

Our aims are:

  • Working Smarter - Working Together: The collective buying power of joint procurement brings economies of scale and efficiency.  By working together to buy goods and services we can deliver more efficient business processes saving time and money.
  • Making The Best Use Of Technology: Developing online systems for e-procurement reduces transaction costs for ordering goods and services.
  • Saving Costs: Our target is to deliver substantial savings by introducing smarter procurement and more efficient business processes.
  • Treating Suppliers Fairly: The TPC is encouraging private sector organisations to work better with local government. We aim to foster good relations between public sector buyers and suppliers of all sizes.

Further information is available on the Tayside Procurement Consortium's website while staff can access additional information through the intranet.
