Funding Factfile
Introduction
This web site aims to demystify the fund-raising process for voluntary and community organisations. It has been compiled using the most current information available and will be updated regularly to ensure that information is passed on and used.
How to use this guide
If you need to find out about funding for a specific idea, the easiest way to do it is to look under the Category section to see where your project fits. Once you have identified this, you can look down the list of funders and, on the basis of how much your project will cost, choose those you want to explore further. Clicking on the link to a funder will take you to a more detailed page. Here you will find information on what will be funded, what types of organisations are eligible to apply, how to apply, and when the closing dates are.
The Hints and Tips section has details on how to fill in application forms and how to apply to Trusts or Foundations by letter. It also gives details on what should be included in a Business Plan.
