Membership Terms and Conditions
Your Golf Membership will be delivered on the Dundee National Entitlement Card. If you already have a National Entitlement Card you can have your membership added to it by presenting your card at the Caird/Camperdown starters box or to Customer Services, Floor 2, Tayside House.
The Golf Season
The golf season runs from the 1st April to the following 31st March.
Conditions of Issue
- A National Entitlement card (“the Card”) will be issued to members for the purposes of administering the golf membership scheme on receipt of a duly completed and validated application form. The Card will be issued subject to the National Entitlement Card Scheme and Scottish Citizen’s Account Terms & Conditions which are issued at the time of issue of the Card. The Golf Membership Scheme Terms and Conditions set out here are in addition to the National Entitlement Card Scheme and Scottish Citizen’s Account Terms & Conditions.
- Members already in possession of a National Entitlement Card will be able to use their existing card which will be updated to reflect membership of the Golf Membership Scheme on receipt of a duly completed and validated Golf Membership Scheme application form.
- The Card will need to be produced whenever the member wishes to gain access to the course(s). Only the cardholder may take advantage of or use the Card, which is not transferable. Use of the Card by any person other than the cardholder may result in the cancellation of the membership without refund.
- The Card is valid for either, or both of the 18 hole courses at Caird Park and Camperdown.
- The Card must be shown to the Golf Course Starter prior to play and must be carried during play along with any other temporary ticket issued by the Starter.
- The Card and any temporary ticket must be made available for inspection by an authorised employee of
Leisure and Culture Dundee on request. If during play the Card is found to have been used by any person other than the person to whom it has been issued, full payment at the visitors single round rate will be required and the Card may be forfeited.
- Membership gives no starting priority on either course.
- Lost, stolen or damaged cards should be reported to Customer Services, Dundee House, 50 North Lindsay Street, Dundee as soon as possible and a replacement shall be issued. Leisure and Culture Dundee reserves the right to introduce an administration fee for this service.
- If there are any changes to the cardholders details (e.g. address, surname, status) Leisure and Culture Dundee must be notified as soon as possible. It is the responsibility of the cardholder to provide Leisure and Culture Dundee with the correct information together with appropriate authentication documents to evidence the change(s) at which point a new card shall be issued.
- Golf course Rules and Regulations which are displayed at the respective golf courses must be adhered to at all times. Breach of course Rules and Regulations may result in cancellation of the membership without refund.
- Leisure and Culture Dundee reserves the right to amend or withdraw the Golf Membership Scheme for any reason. Leisure and Culture Dundee reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any such changes.
- Leisure and Culture Dundee is the data processor for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998. The data which you supply in your application for membership will be used for the purposes of processing your application and administering your membership of the Golf Membership Scheme. Your data will not be used to administer any other local or national entitlements unless you have agreed that your data can be used for these purposes.
Payment
- Payment for all memberships, can be made in full when applying or through the Leisure and Culture Dundee Direct Debit Payment System. Applicants wishing to use this method must complete the Direct Debit form which is attached, and return it with the Application Form to the Golf Starter or Customer Services, Dundee House, 50 North Lindsay Street, Dundee.
- When using the Direct Debit System option the first monthly instalment will be made in cash at the time of application, with the balance being deducted in monthly instalments (see table below).
- Anyone joining the Direct Debit Scheme will be required to pay the relevant fees for the remaining duration of the current golf season.
- Any member who no longer meets the criteria for holding a concession priced ticket must notify
Leisure and Culture Dundee and transfer on to the standard rate equivalent membership immediately.
- In the first year of membership one months notice in writing is required to terminate the membership. Fee’s due for the remainder of the current season shall be payable.
- In subsequent unbroken years of membership, one months notice in writing is required to terminate the membership.
- Members may not be permitted to utilise the Direct Debit System for 12 months once leaving it.
- Memberships paid using Direct Debit will be automatically renewed in April each year, unless notification of termination is received.
- Any increase in membership fees will be notified at least one month in advance of the increase being applied.
Unpaid or Outstanding Balances
- In the event of any monthly direct debit payments not being received, Leisure and Culture Dundee will attempt to collect this during the following month. Should this payment not be received, members will be deemed to be in default of the Golf Membership Scheme Terms and Conditions and the following provisions will apply. If the default occurs in the first year of membership, the full outstanding balance of the membership for the current golfing season will become due and payable immediately. If the default occurs after the first year of membership, payment for two missed payments plus an additional one months notice will become due and payable immediately.
- Any person in such default will not be permitted to play either of the courses for the remainder of the current season and may be refused participation in the Golf Membership Scheme in future years.
- Any unpaid and outstanding balances shall attract interest at 5% above base rates during the period that such balances remain unpaid.
