Housing Adaptations
If you are a council tenant and you or a member of your family are having difficulty with, or are unable to carry out everyday activities due to physical disability, sensory impairment or illness we may be able to help by:
Adapting your present home
After an assessment of your needs adaptations may be carried out to your present home. Adaptations range from minor (e.g. grabrails, external handrails) to major structural alterations (e.g. walk-in shower installations, permanent ramps).
Re-housing
If your present home cannot be adapted for your needs, you will be considered for re-housing to an already suitably adapted home.
