Free Guided Tours at Broughty Castle Museum
This spring, there's an exciting programme of tours taking place at Broughty Castle Museum. The tours will offer visitors the chance to find out about the Castle's military past, as well as the chance to explore the various galleries and displays, with commentary from our entertaining tour guide.
'Broughty Stories Free Guided Tours' take place on Wednesdays on the following dates:

If Broughty Castle could talk, what stories it could tell! Join us for 'Broughty Stories', a relaxed and informal guided tour exploring the galleries. There are fascinating displays on the life and times of Broughty Ferry, its people, the environment, and the wildlife that lives close by. Enjoy also a fine selection of paintings from one of the most important Victorian collections of Scottish Art, in the Orchar Gallery.
'Gory Story Free Guided Tours' take place on Thursdays on the following dates:

Discover the gory story of Broughty Castle's military past. Find out about the guns that lined its ramparts, and the lives and gory deaths of its attackers and defenders!
All tours start at 2pm (each tour lasts approx. 1 hour).
Admission FREE, but places are limited, so booking is essential on (01382) 436916.
The age and nature of Broughty Castle unfortunately means that there is no disabled access other than to the courtyard area. Please also note that the tours are unsuitable for people with mobility problems. The Gory Story tour takes place mainly outside, so wearing sensible shoes and appropriate weatherproof clothing is advised.
