Fintry - Private and Voluntary Services and Resources
As previously stated a large percentage of the housing is managed by Abertay Housing Association, although Servite Housing Association has two sheltered housing complexes in the area. Dundee City Council manages a number of properties in the area in addition to the housing association's stock. Abertay Housing Association has developed a community block in north Fintry which comprises accommodation for Dundee North Law Centre, Craigowl Communities and Fintry North Youth Project. This block also houses a creche that is used by residents in the area who wish to access services in the block. Click on the image at the top right-hand corner to view a map of the area.
Two churches are positioned in Fintry, Mains of Fintry Parish Church is on the junction of Fintry Drive and Fintry Road and Our Lady of Sorrows RC Church is in Finlarig Terrace.
A variety of uniformed voluntary organisations use the scout hall in Fintry Drive. Cub, scouts and guides regularly use this provision.
Finmill Community Centre provides an out of school care scheme for local children attending primary schools in the area.
