The Old Steeple is an architecturally important and imposing building that has stood in Dundee for over 500 years. It has survived attacks by armies and devastating fires, and remains at the heart of the City centre.
Guided tours are being offered to the public every Wednesday and Saturday from 4th June to 30th August 2008. Guides will tell the amazing story of the Steeple, and visitors will see for themselves why Dundee is so lucky to retain this unique medieval building.
Members of the Steeple Church are offering refreshments to visitors after each tour. Each tour lasts approximately one hour.
Admission £2.50 adults; £1.50 concessions; £1 accompanied children under 16 years of age. Children under 16 must be accompanied. Places are limited, so booking is strongly advised on (01382) 432364 (Mon to Fri 9 am-4.30 pm). Any places not taken will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
(Access - Touring the Old Steeple can be strenuous due to the numerous steps between each level. The age and nature of the building unfortunately means that there is no disabled access above the ground level.
