Hilltown - Private and Voluntary Services and Resources
The Hilltown has a number of voluntary projects which provide local services such as:
- The Haven locally managed charity providing confiential mental health support
- Mark Henderson Centre - providing a base for Signpost International and halls for community use
- Greylodge Settlement - locally managed project providing youth projects and accommodation for local groups and space for "surgeries" delivered by others
- 5 Ways Centre (Age Concern) - locally managed charity/day care providing accommodation for local groups and space for "surgeries" delivered by others also Dundee Healthy Initiative have a local base there
- Maxwelltown Information Centre - locally managed trust providing accommodation for local groups and space for "surgeries" delivered by other agencies
- Get In Step - providing training opportunities for long term unemployed
- Carolina Trust - providing training opportunities for young vulnerable people
- Fitness First - a private sports and gymnasium club
