Mitchell Street Centre is one of the largest bases operated by the Leisure and Communities Department and is home to a number of projects and teams.
The Centre has 4 public access computers for use by the public where free computer and internet access using the latest broadband technology is available.
There are a few rooms in the Centre which are available to let and charges may be applicable. If you are involved with a community organisation which requires access to transport, you may wish to hire the Centre's minibus. For more information, call 435808.

Adult Learning Team
The Adult Learning helps adults who would like to be better at reading, writing, spelling or maths. It also provides English classes for adults whose first language is not English. Classes are free and childcare can be offered in the Centre's crèche. The team welcomes people with disabilities and/or learning difficulties. To have a chat and find out more, call us on 435808.

Community Based Adult Learning Team
If you are 16 years & over why not find out more about learning opportunities near where you live. Returning to learning can be fun and give you confidence to try new things. Literacies Outreach and Accreditation Team
The Literacies Outreach and Accreditation Team has an office base in Mitchell Street Centre but works throughout the city. The team can support individuals and groups who want to develop their skills, knowledge and understanding of reading, writing, spelling or maths.
Tayside Pre-Retirement Council
Tayside Pre Retirement Council is a voluntary non-profit making organisation. Its main purpose is to develop and provide courses on Mid-Life and Pre-Retirement Planning. For more information, contact the council on 665765.
Lead Scotland
Lead (Linking Education and Disability) supports disabled adults and their carers so they can access education and lifelong learning opportunities. For more information, contact 669532.
Councillors' Surgeries
Councillors for the West End ward hold surgeries at a range of times.
Dundee Healthy Living Initiative
Dundee Healthy Living Initiative is a partnership project which offers a wide range of activities to promote physical, mental and social wellbeing. For more information call 435824.
Xplore
Xplore helps young people aged 11-18, living in Dundee, who are finding it hard to cope at home, school, work or within their community. For various reasons, young people sometimes experience difficulties and may need additional support to get through these periods. For more information call 435863.
Community Regeneration
The Leisure and Communities Department's Community Regeneration Manager is based in Mitchell Street Centre. The Community Regeneration Fund Initiatives Central Support Team including the CRF Co-ordinator and the CRF Communications Officer are also based here. For more information call 435825 or 435857.
