Whitfield - Soft Statistics and Funding Allocation
Whitfield has always had high levels of poverty. Recent statistical data was gathered by the Scottish Office that broke down the country into data zones of up to 750 people. This data was comparative with the rest of Scotland. Out of 6 data zones in the area, three were in the worst 5%, one was in the worst 10% and one was in the worst 15% of areas in Scotland. This identified that levels of poverty and exclusion are still prevalent in the Whitfield area. Click on the image at the top right-hand corner to view a map of the area.
