Book Review
|
When I first read this book, before I reached the conclusion, I had enjoyed it but it would just have rated an OK. However once I had read the conclusion this revealed the true genius of the author, considering his age (18) when he wrote it. A film was made of this novel but it did no justice to the true horror of the story.

I've seen the film 'The Hole' , and I was so impressed I thought I would go out and purchase the book. I have not yet read it but I'm sure it would be an impressive read.
The fact that Guy Burt wrote it at the age of 18 makes the book seem even more impressive.
I am very excited because I'm sure I won't be able to put it down - reviewed by Nel
I love the film it's very well acted and I hate it when Frankie dies. It's just disgusting but the book does show the true horror, both very good - reviewed by Salad Fingers
I think it is an excellent read and has many layers going into it. You can't believe that Guy Burt was only 18 when he wrote it. It has a very creepy eerie tone to it and is a landmark in the teenage horror genre. - reviewed by Walsi
