Liquor Licensing Applications - Applications Under Licensing (Scotland) Act 1976
Applications can still be made to the Licensing Board for all types of licences, permissions etc. under the Licensing (Scotland) Act 1976 throughout the transition until 16th January 2009. Renewals of Existing Consents are not required.
The advertising requirements for new applications and new regular extensions have been amended. Full information on this process will be provided when an application is lodged.
Applications for new Licences or new applications for Regular Extensions will be considered by the full Licensing Board. Consideration of all other applications is delegated to the Clerk in consultation with the Convener unless the Clerk or the Convener decide not to consider any application in which case the application will be remitted to the full Licensing Board.
Applicants should note that new applications or applications for the provisional grant of a new licence will not be considered by the Board unless they are accompanied by an application for the same premises under Section 20 or 45 of the 2005 Act.
Applications for the provisional grant of a new licence under Section 26(2) cannot be made during the transitional period.
