Careers Information
Writing your CV, application forms and Interviews
- The Site.org deals with many issues relevant to young people and could be a first port of call but we're focusing on work and study. Likewise, Prospects deal with a vast amount of career information but have a look at applications, CVs and interviews.
- You can also find books on these subjects in your local library. Search the online library catalogue using keywords 'CV' or 'job applications' or 'interviews'. The Reference and Information Centre also have prospectuses from various universities and colleges and a careers section providing good information. The Science and Business Centre also stock all the UK telephone directories and yellow pages if you need a particular number or you want to send out spec letters!

Starting your own Business
Business Opportunity Profiles are a significant range of guides to starting over 300 different business ideas. The information within them covers: the business idea, the start up costs, the market, regulations, training/qualifications and key contacts. The guides are available from the science and business centre in central library. Please ask the staff for details.
