Leaving School

Leaving school may be one of the biggest life events that you have so far encountered.  So, before you actually leave school, you should consider all the options open to you. Will you pursue further education, getting a job, taking a year out, doing some voluntary work or even starting a business?

These pages will provide you with a guide to where you might start. They have been divided into four main areas:

  Contains a mixture of advice from local and national organisations covering most issues for young people but also looking at benefits, council tax, flat hunting, drugs and alcohol problems

  Universities, Colleges, Further Qualifications, Funding, Evening Classes
• Taking a Year Out
  Having a gap year, volunteering, financing the trip, overseas exchanges and projects abroad
