Proposed security upgrade for multis
RESIDENTS of a city multi storey development could be in line for a security upgrade.
A contract worth almost £122,000 for local firm McGill Electrical to fit a controlled entry system at the Dallfield blocks is due to be considered by councillors next week.
John Alexander vice convener of Dundee City Council’s housing committee said: “These works will help to respond to issues raised by tenants about their quality of life at the Dalfield multis and form part of a larger programme with McGill to fit similar security systems elsewhere in the city.
“In recent months a considerable amount of investment and work has been carried out at the Dalfield multis to make them a more fuel-efficient, warmer, and now safer place to live.”
If the housing committee, which meets on Monday (December 10), agrees to award the £121,755 contract, work will start in the next few weeks.
