Dundee's whaling history will be the subject of a talk at the McManus Collections Unit in Barrack Street on Saturday (May 22).
Malcolm Archibald, project officer of Dundee Whaling History, will tell the story of the artefacts that remain from the city's industry and how they reflect the experience of local men who battled against extreme conditions.
The talk will take place both at 10am and 2pm on Saturday.
Admission is free but places are limited and booking is essential by phoning 307200.
The event is part of a season of talks at the former Barrack Street Museum running until September.
