Late Night Christmas Shopping Bonanza

SHOPS and restaurants the length and breadth of Dundee city centre will be throwing their doors open next week as the first late night Christmas shopping session kicks off.

To mark the occasion an array of discounts and incentives will be on offer from 5.30pm to 9pm on Thursday (December 1).

Will Dawson, convener of Dundee City Council's city development committee said: "The city centre offers shoppers a huge choice to suit every taste and any pocket.

"So with something for everyone, the added bonus of offers and incentives to entice shoppers into Dundee and ample car parking and easy access, you could sort out all your Christmas shopping needs in one trip!"

Deals on clothing, jewellery, household goods and cookware, as well as food and drink and beauty treatments will make the first late night Christmas shopping session a must attend event for bargain hunters.

Shops in Dundee's two major shopping malls - Overgate and Wellgate, as well as other retailers in the city centre will be trading late each Thursday in the run up to Christmas.

The first late night Christmas shopping bonanza is just a part of the festive fun planned for Dundee city centre in the run up to the big day.

Christmas Light Night, which will see events all over the city centre from 6.15pm  to 9pm on Friday (November 25) and a Farmers' Market with crafts will be held in City Square from 9am to 4pm on December 17.
