As a result of UK national industrial action by trade unions, the city council cannot guarantee normal services on Wednesday 30 November 2011.
Offices and facilities are likely to be closed to the public. However you should check with the city council before visiting.
All nursery, primary, secondary and special schools will be closed to pupils.
Householders are asked not to put bins out on Wednesday as domestic waste collection, including recycling wastes, will be postponed until the next due collection date.
Recycling civic amenity sites at Marchbanks, Riverside and Baldovie will be closed.
Commercial waste will be collected from Thursday 1 December 2011.
Facilities run by Leisure & Culture Dundee in partnership with the city council are also likely to be affected by the industrial action.
Following discussions with the trade unions, a range of exemptions has been agreed and the services listed below will operate as normal, under public holiday arrangements or on standby/emergency cover.
These are; burial services, Brown Street Kennels, emergency housing repairs for health and safety, homeless services, community alarm, community meals, child protection services, residential and home care services.
