Notes AIMS: By making it possible for people with learning disabilities to join self-advocacy groups, we aim to enable them to:-

* know more about their rights and responsibilities
* become more confident about saying what they think
* take more control over their own lives
* take part in planning and commenting on services
* share worries or concerns with their group
* participate in social activities within the community
* produce the 'Your Say' newslette
* enable them to have a worthwhile occupation, either paid or unpaid.

We also manage the SAY Groups, 6 people who act as representatives of people with learning disabilities in Dundee. They attend planning groups that are responsible for taking forward the Same As You recommendations, produce the 'Your Say' newsletter and consult with other adults to seek their views on services.

OTHER INFO: Groups meet weekly. Meetings last 2 hours. Each group has ten members and at least 2 assistants.
