Outdoor Access – Healthy Walks in Dundee
Walking is a great way to stay fit and healthy. Dundee’s Healthy Walks will help you get into shape, but they’re also an excellent way to get out and about in your local area, meet new people and it’s free!
The escorted walks take about 30 minutes to an hour and are designed so that people of all ages and abilities can take part. You don’t need to be super fit or have specialist equipment. All you need is some comfortable clothing and shoes and maybe a raincoat! It’s a good idea to take along a bottle of water as well. To take part in one of the escorted walks, contact the relevant person below or turn up to the meeting place.

Urban Walking Week
This year an Urban Walking Week will take place between the 15th – 20th September. There is plenty to join in with, explore hidden cemeteries, discover Dundee's historical events and learn about the nature in our parks. You could even try out a local walking group near you which specialise in short walks to help you get started - great if you've never done any walking before, but want to give it a go.
The walks will generally be less than 1 hour long and most are free!
- The programme is available to download as a (126KB PDF) or by calling 01382 433748
