The south side of Dundee's High Street is seen from the top of Crichton Street to the right (and west) to just beyond the Town House in the east.
No. 24 High Street to the eastern side of Crichton Street was the North of Scotland Bank, Ltd.
As well as D. & W. Prophet, photographers (who also had a shop at 59 Wellgate), No. 23 housed Watt, Bissett & Co., and John Harris, both solicitors' offices and Patrick S. Walker, a dentist.
