Nethergate, Dundee - Ref: WC0487
This photograph shows the south side of Dundee's Nethergate, with Russell's Royal Hotel standing at the north end of Union Street, which leads to the railway station. The wheel in the foreground is part of a carriage stopped in front of the City Churches.
Chalres Kerr, the chemist, was at No. 56 Nethergate, J. M. Connell & Sons, bootmakers, at No. 62. No. 64 was the cigar importer Mrs James Kidd and, above, George Sime the dentist's consulting rooms. The India, China and Japan bazaar was No. 66.
No. 68 was John D. Cameron, another dentist, this one specialising in 'the finest artificial teeth'. Above, A. G. Pringle can clearly be made out, but the name does not appear in the Dundee Directory. Miss E. Tyrie at No. 72, David B. Mitchell at No. 76.
