Princes Street runs south west into Dundee's city centre. This Alexander Wilson photograph shows the north side, at the junction with Crescent Street.
The London & Glasgow tea company was No. 8 Albert Street, with another branch at Nos. 49-51 Scouringburn. John David, at No. 12, was a bootmaker. J. M. Stronner, wholesale and retail wine and spirits merchant, and commission agent was at Nos. 14-16.
James Kidd, the draper, was at No. 18. There are two advertisements: H. P. Tyler (of Leicester) was a bootmaker with a shop at No. 92 High Street. Alexander Murdoch, joiner and funeral director, had works at No. 13 Crescent Street and No. 6 Crescent Lane.
