The Crown Hotel is always listed in the Dundee Directory as No. 40 Greenmarket and No. 1 Shore Terrace. At No. 3 Shore Terrace, the tobacconist was Jane Nicol, and No. 5 were the offices of Dundee, Perth & London Shipping Co.
