Greenmarket, Dundee - Ref: WC1088
This photograph by Alexander Wilson shows Grosvenor Terrace, a block of four mansions on the north side of the Perth Road in Dundee, to the west of the Sinderins junction.
The residents of the block at that time included W. A. Brown (of whom nothing more is known), William K. Bruce (who worked for the famous Dundee confectioners, Keiller & Sons), and W. Peterseon MA, LLD, principal of University College.
No. 1 Grosvenor Terrace was the home of Alexander M. Grimond of the company J. & A. D. Grimond, owners of the Bowbridge and Maxwelltown jute works. The prominent liberal politician, Joe Grimond, was their grand-nephew.
