Euclid Street/Euclid Crescent

closed westbound for 11 months with full closures for short durations (up to 48 hours) for major refurbishment works to D C Thomson building.

Thomson Street (Magdalen Yard Road for 100m north)

closed for 5 weeks for demolition and building works.

Riverside Drive (at Wright Avenue)

off-peak temporary traffic lights for 2 weeks for pedestrian crossing installation.

Dundee Road West (Stannergate to Dairy Bridge)

off peak nearside eastbound lane closure for 4 weeks for street lighting works.

Forest Park Place/Edward Street/Brook Street/Brewery Lane/Lower Pleasance/Douglas Street

closed on a rolling programme for 6 weeks for SSE 33Kv cable renewal.  Forest Park Place is currently closed.

North Lindsay Street/Ward Road/Courthouse Square/West Bell Street/West Marketgait

closed on a rolling programme for 6 weeks for SSE 33Kv cable renewal.  North Lindsay Street currently closed southbound.

Brown Street, Broughty Ferry (Brook Street to King Street)

closed for 7 days for carriageway resurfacing works.

A92 Arbroath Road (Panmurefield roundabout to East Balgillo roundabout)

overnight (8.00pm - 6.00am) westbound nearside lane closure on Monday 5 October for carriageway repairs.

A90 Kingsway West (Clepington Road on-slip)

overnight (7.30pm - 6.30am) eastbound nearside lane closure on Tuesday 6 October for carriageway patching works.

A90 Forfar Road (south of Emmock Road roundabout)

overnight (7.30pm  - 6.30am) northbound nearside lane closure on Wednesday 7 October for gully repair works.

Strathmore Street, Broughty Ferry

temporary traffic lights for 2 weeks for gas main renewal.

Loons Road (at Balfield Road)

closed on Monday 5 October for 5 working days for carriageway patching.

Forthcoming Major Roadworks

Blacklock Crescent and Doon Terrace

both closed from Monday 12 October for 10 working days for carriageway resurfacing works.

Fintry Terrace (Longhaugh Road to Murrayfield Drive)

closed from Monday 19 October for 8 days for carriageway resurfacing works.


Roads - General

Planned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of maintenance work including resurfacing and reconstruction as well as water, sewer, electricity, gas and telecom supply/renewal/maintenance works, etc.

It may be that the Dundee City Council is not responsible for these works.  However we have a duty to inform the public of any major situation which may arise – planned or otherwise – that may affect their ability to move about the city.  We have included here a listing of road closures and major lane closures or restrictions and the contact numbers for the main utility companies in case you have a query on any specific set of roadworks.
