Charlotte Street (West School Road to A90 Kingsway)

closed on Saturday 17 June for Community Fun Day.

Nethergate (Union Street to South Marketgait)

closed westbound on Sunday 18 June for road marking works.

Guthrie Street (Horsewater Wynd to Blinshall Street)

closed on Sunday 18 June for BT manhole repair works.

Report For Monday 19 June 2017

Riverside Esplanade/Riverside Drive (Tay Road Bridge off ramp to 75m along Riverside Drive)

westbound nearside lane closure for 22 weeks to facilitate V&A construction works.

Constable Street (westbound St Roques Lane to Dens Street) and St Roques Lane

closed for 17 weeks for facilitating development works.

SSE Glenagnes Cable Renewal

Lochee Road lane restrictions and closures on Blinshall Street, Fleuchar Street and Scott Street for 5 weeks.

Finavon Street (Fintry Road to Fintry Drive) and Fintry Road (Fintry Drive for 35m south)

Finavon Street will be closed in several sections, one section at a time, for 17 weeks for facilitating works for a new housing development.

Forfar Road (Clepington Road to Pitkerro Road)

closed southbound for up to one week for water main renewal.

Hebrides Drive

temporary traffic lights for 6 weeks for footway improvement works.

Queen Street, Broughty Ferry (Gray Street to St Vincent Street)

off-peak (9.30am – 3.30pm) traffic control on Monday 19 June for footway works.

A85 Riverside Drive

prohibition of right turn from westbound lane of Riverside Drive into Riverside approach and prohibition of right turn from Riverside Approach in to Riverside Drive for 25 weeks for works to the sea wall.  Prohibitions will only be in place when required.

Perth Road (at River Crescent)

temporary traffic lights for up to 4 weeks for sewer remedial works.

Drumgeith Road (Ballumbie Road to Hawick Drive, Kellas Road to Hawick Drive and Kellas Road junction)

closed in 3 phases as described for 3 weeks for carriageway repair works.  Phase 1 was completed on Thursday 15 June.  Phase 2 starts on Monday 19 June.

Strathmartine Road (Kingsway to Camperdown Road)

closed for 8 weeks for gas main renewal.

Forester Street (Rattray Street to Nicoll Street)

closed from Monday 19 June for 2 weeks for gas connection works.

Charleston Drive (junction with Elmwood Road Phase 1 and Ancrum Road and Elmwood Road Phase 2)

closed in 2 phases from Monday 19 June for 10 days for carriageway resurfacing works.

Foggyley Gardens (Nos 22 – 32)

closed for 4 weeks from Monday 19 June for facilitating sewer works.

Roseangle (Perth Road to Seabraes Court)

closed from Tuesday 20 June for 5 working days for SGN connection works.

A92 (Scott Fyffe roundabout)

overnight (7.30pm - 6.00am) eastbound lane closure on Wednesday 21 June for ironwork repairs.

Dundee Road (at Victoria Road)

off-peak temporary traffic lights for one week for drainage works.

Seafield Road (Fintry Place to Seafield Road cul-de-sac)

closed from Monday 26 June for 5 working days for BT duct installation works.

Ancrum Road (Charleston Drive to Logie Street)

closed from Monday 3 July for 2 weeks for carriageway resurfacing works.

Ann Street (Hilltown to Nelson Street)

closed from Monday 3 July for 2 weeks for sewer works.

Gourdie Brae (A923 Coupar Angus Road for 250m southwards)

closed from Monday 3 July for 2 weeks for Scottish Water sewer repair.

Planned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of maintenance work including resurfacing and reconstruction as well as water, sewer, electricity, gas and telecom supply/renewal/maintenance works, etc.

It may be that the Dundee City Council is not responsible for these works.  However we have a duty to inform the public of any major situation which may arise – planned or otherwise – that may affect their ability to move about the city.  We have included here a listing of road closures and major lane closures or restrictions and the contact numbers for the main utility companies in case you have a query on any specific set of roadworks.
