contraflow on southbound carriageway from 7.30pm on Friday 24 October until 6.00am on Monday 27 October for carriageway resurfacing works.

traffic control on Sunday 26 October for BT carriageway repairs.

Euclid Street/Euclid Crescent

closed westbound for 2 months with full closures for short durations (up to 48 hours) for major refurbishment works to D C Thomson building.


traffic control for 2 weeks for slabbing works.

Riverside Drive (Riverside Drive Retail Park - Tay Rail Bridge)

lane restrictions for one week for carriageway resurfacing works.

Church Street, Broughty Ferry (Queen Street to Brook Street)

width restrictions for one week for carriageway works.

South Victoria Dock Road (West Victoria Dock Road to South Marketgait)

closed from Wednesday 22 October for 9 weeks for facilitating central waterfront development works.

Camperdown Road (Macalpine Road for 20m east)

closed from Monday 27 October for 5 working days for pedestrian island installation works.

A92 Arbroath Road/Claypotts Road junction

no access from Baldovie Road to Arbroath Road and no right turn from Arbroath Road to Baldovie Road from Monday 27 October for 4 weeks for junction refurbishment works.

Forthcoming Major Roadworks

Cleghorn Street (Lochee Road to City Road)

closed from Monday 3 November for 15 days for carriageway resurfacing works.

Dens Road/Arthurstone Road

prohibition of right turn from Dens Road into Arthurstone Terrace on Tuesday 4 November for BT duct laying.


Roads - General

Planned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of maintenance work including resurfacing and reconstruction as well as water, sewer, electricity, gas and telecom supply/renewal/maintenance works, etc.

It may be that the Dundee City Council is not responsible for these works.  However we have a duty to inform the public of any major situation which may arise – planned or otherwise – that may affect their ability to move about the city.  We have included here a listing of road closures and major lane closures or restrictions and the contact numbers for the main utility companies in case you have a query on any specific set of roadworks.
