Riverside Esplanade/Riverside Drive (Tay Road Bridge off ramp to 75m along Riverside Drive)

westbound nearside lane closure for 11 weeks to facilitate V&A construction works.

Constable Street (westbound St Roques Lane to Dens Street) and St Roques Lane

closed for 4 weeks for facilitating development works.

Finavon Street (Fintry Road to Fintry Drive) and Fintry Road (Fintry Drive for 35m south)

Finavon Street will be closed in several sections, one section at a time, for 3 weeks for facilitating works for a new housing development.

A85 Riverside Drive

prohibition of right turn from westbound lane of Riverside Drive into Riverside approach and prohibition of right turn from Riverside Approach in to Riverside Drive for 11 weeks for works to the sea wall.  Prohibitions will only be in place when required.

Dens Street (Constable Street to Princes Street)

closed for 48 weeks for hotel development works.

Perrie Street (Anderson Lane to Liff Road) and Quarryside (Liff Road to Quarry Knowe)

closed for 3 weeks and temporary traffic lights on Liff Road for gas main renewal.

Strathmore Avenue (at Lawton Road)

temporary traffic lights for one week for Scottish Water mains renewal.

Dens Road (Provost Road at Arklay Street)

closed southbound for one week for Scottish Water mains renewal.

Summerfield Avenue

temporary traffic lights for one week for drainage works.

Riverside Drive (at Mayo Avenue)

off-peak temporary traffic lights from Monday 25 September for up to one week.

South Marketgait (at Railway Station)

northbound nearside lane closure from Monday 25 September for one week for Hydro Electric cable installation.

A92 Arbroath Road (at Balgillo Road)

overnight (8.00pm - 6.00am) – westbound nearside lane closure on Thursday 28 September for pedestrian guardrail repairs.

A90 Forfar Road

overnight (7.30pm – 6.30am) mobile lane closure in both directions on Tuesday 26 September for street lighting works.

A90 Kingsway

overnight (7.30 – 6.30) – mobile lane closure in both directions from Monday 24 September for 5 nights for street lighting works.

A90 Kingsway (Strathmartine Road to Old Glamis Road)

eastbound overnight closure from Monday 25 September for 4 nights for carriageway resurfacing works.

closed eastbound from Monday 9 October for 2 weeks for Scottish Water main renewal.

Dura Street (Eliza Street to Forfar Road)

closed eastbound from Monday 9 October for 10 days for BT duct laying.

A923 Coupar Angus Road (Quarryside to Dunsinane Avenue)

closed northbound from Monday 16 October for 8 weeks for gas main renewal.

Planned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of maintenance work including resurfacing and reconstruction as well as water, sewer, electricity, gas and telecom supply/renewal/maintenance works, etc.

It may be that the Dundee City Council is not responsible for these works.  However we have a duty to inform the public of any major situation which may arise – planned or otherwise – that may affect their ability to move about the city.  We have included here a listing of road closures and major lane closures or restrictions and the contact numbers for the main utility companies in case you have a query on any specific set of roadworks.
