closed between Marshall Street and St Marys Lane on Sunday 26 July for crane lifting operations.

Euclid Street/Euclid Crescent

closed westbound for 6 months with full closures for short durations (up to 48 hours) for major refurbishment works to D C Thomson building.

South Victoria Dock Road (west of West Victoria Dock Road)

closed for 5 weeks for drainage and associated Central Waterfront Works

West Hendersons Wynd (north side of Verdant Works entrance for 26m northwards) and Miln Street (West Hendersons Wynd for 12m eastwards)

closed for 6 weeks for building operations.

Thomson Street (Magdalen Yard Road for 100m north)

closed for 15 weeks for demolition and building works.

Lower Broughty Ferry Road (Dairy Bridge)

closed overnight between 10.00pm and 6.00am for one week for railway maintenance works.

Dens Road (Dura Street to Arklay Street)

closed from Monday 20 July for 2 weeks for carriageway resurfacing works.

Arbroath Road (Eden Street to Scott Fyffe)

stop/go traffic control for one week for lining works.

A92 East Dock Street (at Market Street)

contraflow on eastbound carriageway for 5 weeks for major gas main installation works.

Abertay Street

temporary traffic lights for one week for gas main renewal.

Whitfield Drive

temporary traffic lights until Tuesday 28 July for Hydro Electric cable laying.

A92 Arbroath Road (A972 Kingsway East to Claypotts Road)

closed off peak  (9.30am - 3.30pm) for 5 days for street lighting works.

closed on Saturday 1 August for community event.

A92 DBFO Panmurefield roundabout to Balgillo roundabout

overnight (8.00pm - 12.00pm) nearside westbound lane closure on Monday 27 July for carriageway patching works.

A92 DBFO Ethiebeaton roundabout to Ardestie interchange

overnight (8.00pm  - 6.00am) eastbound lane closures on Monday 27 July for carriageway patching.

A92 DBFO Balgillo roundabout to Claypotts junction

overnight (8.00pm - 12.00pm) nearside westbound lane closure on Tuesday 28 July for carriageway patching.

A90 Kingsway West (at Myrekirk roundabout)

overnight (9.30pm - 6.30am) alternate and offside lane closures on Thursday 30 July for remedial testing works.

closed between Loons Road and Kilberry Street and Inverary Terrace and Campbell Street, plus temporary traffic lights at Loons Road and Gardner Street on Sunday 2 August for Scottish Water manhole repairs.

Fairmuir Street (Fairfield Road to Fairfield Street)

closed from Friday 31 July for 2 weeks for sewer connection.

closed on Monday 3 August for Scottish Water manhole repair.

North George Street

closed from Monday 3 August for 5 days for water main repair.

South Ward Road (Johnston Street to Argyllgait)

closed from Monday 3 August for 5 days for gas service connection.

Emmock Woods Drive (William Fitzgerald Way to Emmock Woods Grove)

closed from Monday 3 August for 5 days for drainage connection

Planned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of maintenance work including resurfacing and reconstruction as well as water, sewer, electricity, gas and telecom supply/renewal/maintenance works, etc.

It may be that the Dundee City Council is not responsible for these works.  However we have a duty to inform the public of any major situation which may arise – planned or otherwise – that may affect their ability to move about the city.  We have included here a listing of road closures and major lane closures or restrictions and the contact numbers for the main utility companies in case you have a query on any specific set of roadworks.
