Old Glamis Road (Park Road to A90 Kingsway)

closed northbound on Sunday 15 January for Scottish Water manhole repairs.

Euclid Street/Euclid Crescent

closed westbound for one month with full closures for short durations (up to 48 hours) for major refurbishment works to D C Thomson building.

Constable Street (westbound St Roques Lane to Dens Street) and St Roques Lane

closed for 8 months for facilitating development works.

Ann Street (Hillbank Road for 205m west)

for 19 weeks for drainage and utility services to new housing development.

Strathmartine Road (Hill Street to Strathmore Avenue)

closed northbound for one week for water main renewal.

Road/Glamis Road

temporary traffic lights from Monday 16 January for 3 weeks for gas main renewal.

St Kilda Road

closed from Monday 16 January for 6 weeks (Mondays to Fridays only) for carriageway and footway resurfacing work and speed hump replacement.

Arbroath Road (at Princes Street)

temporary traffic lights on Sunday 22 January for BT cabling work.

Constitution Road (at Bell Street)

temporary traffic lights on Sunday 22 January for BT cabling work.

Whitehall Crescent (Crichton Street to Dock Street)

closed on Sunday 22 January for Scottish Water manhole repair.

Mollison Street

closed from Tuesday 17 January for 7 days for drainage and water supply works to new housing development.

King Street (St Roques Lane to East Marketgait)

narrow lanes for one week for footway works.

Strathmore Avenue (Lawton Road to Hospital Street)

narrow lane for 2 weeks for footway works.

Forthcoming Major Roadworks

Grays Lane (A923 Coupar Angus Road to Whorterbank)

closed from Monday 23 January for 5 weeks for SSE sub station refurbishment.

Planned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of maintenance work including resurfacing and reconstruction as well as water, sewer, electricity, gas and telecom supply/renewal/maintenance works, etc.

It may be that the Dundee City Council is not responsible for these works.  However we have a duty to inform the public of any major situation which may arise – planned or otherwise – that may affect their ability to move about the city.  We have included here a listing of road closures and major lane closures or restrictions and the contact numbers for the main utility companies in case you have a query on any specific set of roadworks.
