Riverside Esplanade/Riverside Drive (Tay Road Bridge off ramp to 75m along Riverside Drive)

westbound nearside lane closure for 23 weeks to facilitate V&A construction works.

Constable Street (westbound St Roques Lane to Dens Street) and St Roques Lane

closed for 16 weeks for facilitating development works.

SSE Glenagnes Cable Renewal

Lochee Road lane restrictions and closures on Blinshall Street, Fleuchar Street and Scott Street for 8 weeks.

Finavon Street (Fintry Road to Fintry Drive) and Fintry Road (Fintry Drive for 35m south)

Finavon Street will be closed in several sections, one section at a time, for 16 weeks for facilitating works for a new housing development.

Hebrides Drive

temporary traffic lights for 5 weeks for footway improvement works.

A85 Riverside Drive

prohibition of right turn from westbound lane of Riverside Drive into Riverside approach and prohibition of right turn from Riverside Approach in to Riverside Drive for 24 weeks for works to the sea wall.  Prohibitions will only be in place when required.

Perth Road (at River Crescent)

temporary traffic lights for up to 3 weeks for sewer remedial works.

Strathmartine Road (Kingsway to Camperdown Road)

closed for 7 weeks for gas main renewal.

Forester Street (Rattray Street to Nicoll Street)

closed for one week for gas connection works.

Charleston Drive (junction with Elmwood Road Phase 1 and Ancrum Road and Elmwood Road Phase 2)

closed for one week for carriageway resurfacing works.

Foggyley Gardens (Nos 22 – 32)

closed for 3 weeks for facilitating sewer works.

Roseangle (Perth Road to Seabraes Court)

closed until Monday 26 June for SGN connection works.

Dundee Road (at Victoria Road)

off-peak temporary traffic lights for up to one week for drainage works.

Seafield Road (Fintry Place to Seafield Road cul-de-sac)

closed from Monday 26 June for 5 working days for BT duct installation works.  Temporary traffic lights at junction with Fintry Place.

Provost Road

closed for 3 weeks for Scottish Water mains renewal.

Burn Street

temporary traffic lights from Wednesday 28 June to Friday 30 June for carriageway works.

Old Glamis Road (at Fairmuir Road)

temporary traffic lights for one week for Hydro Electric service connection.

Kings Cross Road

temporary traffic control for one week for carriageway patching works.

A923 Coupar Angus Road (at Dunsinane Avenue)

off-peak lane closures for 2 weeks for street lighting works.

Loons Road (at Lawside Road)

off-peak temporary traffic lights on Wednesday 28 June for BT duct installation works.

Forfar Road (Dura Street to Kingsway)

closed in 4 phases from Friday 30 June for 3 weeks for carriageway resurfacing.  Phase 1 (Dura Street/Forfar Road junction) closed from Friday 30 June for 3 days.

West Victoria Dock Road (Camperdown Street to South Victoria Dock Road)

closed for 5 days for crane operations.  Second closure beginning Monday 10 July for 5 days for crane operations.

Baldovan Road (Harestane Road to Pitreavie Place)

closed from Tuesday 27 Junes for 5 days for sewer works.

Slessor Gardens No 2 (Little Mix)

following road closures:  Earl Grey Place West and East, South Crichton Street and South Castle Street closed from Monday 26 June for 6 days.  Castle Street (Exchange Street to Dock Street) and Whitehall Crescent (Crichton Street to Dock Street) closed on Thursday 29 June between 4.00pm and midnight.  Thomson Avenue (South Union Street to South Commercial Street) closed on Thursday 29 June between 2.30pm and midnight.  South Union Street (West Marketgait to Union Street) and Dock Street(South Union Street to Commercial Street) closed on Thursday 29 June between 2.00pm and midnight.

closed from Monday 3 July for 2 weeks for carriageway resurfacing works.

closed from Monday 3 July for 2 weeks for sewer works.

closed from Monday 3 July for 2 weeks for Scottish Water sewer repair.

Planned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of maintenance work including resurfacing and reconstruction as well as water, sewer, electricity, gas and telecom supply/renewal/maintenance works, etc.

It may be that the Dundee City Council is not responsible for these works.  However we have a duty to inform the public of any major situation which may arise – planned or otherwise – that may affect their ability to move about the city.  We have included here a listing of road closures and major lane closures or restrictions and the contact numbers for the main utility companies in case you have a query on any specific set of roadworks.
