A923 Coupar Angus Road (from Gourdie Brae to Faraday Street)

closed on Sunday 24 August for gulley cleaning and road marking.

Gourdie Brae

closed on Sunday 24 August for gulley cleaning/road marking and closed from A923 Coupar Angus Road to Old Liff Road.  To be carried out at seperate time of the day to above closure.

Report For Week Commencing Monday 25 August 2014

Euclid Street/Euclid Crescent

closed westbound for 2 months with full closures for short durations (up to 48 hours) for major refurbishment works to D C Thomson building.


traffic control for 6 weeks for slabbing works.

Riverside Drive

lane closures for 4 weeks for carriageway resurfacing works.

Grosvenor Road

temporary traffic lights until Wednesday 27 August for Hydro Electric cable installation.

A90 Kingsway (East of Strathmartine Road Roundabout)

overnight (7.30pm – 6.30am) eastbound nearside lane closure on Tuesday 26 August for manhole repairs.

A90 Kingsway West (Myrekirk Roundabout)

overnight (7.30pm – 6.30am) eastbound nearside lane closure on Friday 29 August for pedestrian guardrail repairs.

Albert Street (at McGill Street)

temporary traffic lights from Thursday 21 August for up to one week for Hydro Electric cable fault repairs.

South Road (Buttars Loan to Craigard Road)

closed westbound from Monday 25 August for 3 weeks for gas mains replacement.

Douglas Road/Ballindean Road Roundabout

inside lane closure and associated lane closures on approaches from Tuesday 26 August to Friday 29 August for water meter installation.

Blackness Road (at Jedburgh Road)

temporary traffic lights for one week for sewer connection.

Glamis Road/Dickson Avenue Roundabout

lane closures and associated lane closures on approaches for one week for gas service connections.

Court House Square

closed for one week for resurfacing works.

Forthcoming Major Roadworks

Craigard Road (South Road to Craigmount Road)

closed from Monday 15 September for 3 weeks for gas mains replacement. (Works to follow on from South Road phase above).

Planned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of maintenance work including resurfacing and reconstruction as well as water, sewer, electricity, gas and telecom supply/renewal/maintenance works, etc.
