Euclid Street/Euclid Crescent

closed westbound for 9 months with full closures for short durations (up to 48 hours) for major refurbishment works to D C Thomson building.

Forest Park Place/Edward Street/Brook Street/Brewery Lane/Lower Pleasance/Douglas Street

closed on a rolling programme for one week for SSE 33Kv cable renewal.  Brewery Lane/Lower Pleasance/Douglas Street closed.

Seafield Road (Davidson Street to Balgillo Road)

closed in phases for 3 weeks for gas main renewal, plus temporary traffic lights at junction with Fintry Place.

Hebrides Drive (from Harris Terrace to 120m westwards and 100m eastwards)

closed for 3 weeks for sewer works.

Stobsmuir Road

closed for one week for water mains renewal

Dykes of Gray Road

Stop/go traffic control for 3 weeks for boundary wall construction works.

Baldovie Road (at Balunie Drive)

temporary traffic lights on Sunday 6 December for Scottish Water manhole repair.

Riverside Drive (at Riverside approach)

temporary traffic lights on Sunday 6 December (12.01am to 6.30am) for scaffolding works on rail bridge.

A90 Kingsway West (approach to Myrekirk Roundabout)

overnight (7.30pm – 6.30am) Eastbound offside lane closure on Monday 30 November for gully repair works.

A90 Kingsway (Forfar Road junction)

overnight (7.30pm – 6.30am) Westbound offside lane closure on Tuesday 1 December for gully repair works.

Charleston Drive (at Arran Drive)

off peak traffic control for one week for pedestrian crossing refurbishment works.

Planned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of maintenance work including resurfacing and reconstruction as well as water, sewer, electricity, gas and telecom supply/renewal/maintenance works, etc.

It may be that the Dundee City Council is not responsible for these works.  However we have a duty to inform the public of any major situation which may arise – planned or otherwise – that may affect their ability to move about the city.  We have included here a listing of road closures and major lane closures or restrictions and the contact numbers for the main utility companies in case you have a query on any specific set of roadworks.
