Blue Badge holders should be aware that the badge is for their own personal use only, i.e. no other person may use your badge, even on your behalf; therefore your badge should be removed from the vehicle when the badge holder is not present. This will prevent able bodied people from using your badge accidentally.
Dundee City Council take badge misuse very seriously. We will immediately cancel your badge if there is more than one misuse recorded, and this may also affect your eligibility for future badge applications. Repeated misuse of a Blue Badge can also lead to prosecution and a £1,000 fine. The Blue Badge Team will be informed should you receive a parking ticket while using a Blue Badge, in this event your record will be updated to reflect the misuse.
