Named in memory of David Arklay of Easter Clepington, who died
in 1822, and was succeeded by his son Peter Arklay of Dunninald.
Clepington came to Peter’s second son, Robert, who sold it
in 1856 to William Neish of Tannadice, who feued most of the Easter
Clepington grounds.
